Anzex receives drill results from New Zealand

Anzex Resources Ltd AZXShares issued 7,265,0771999-01-20 close $0.37Friday Jan 22 1999Mr. James Kermeen reports Complete assay results have been received for diamond drill hole DDH 4 on the Longwoods platinum-palladium exploration project in New Zealand. This hole was drilled 125 metres south of DDH 3 to test whether the anomalous Pt+Pd values intersected in this hole were part of a continuous horizon that extended to the south. DDH 4 intersected the characteristic layered mafic rocks that hosted the anomalous Pt+Pd in hole DDH 3 and anomalous Pt+Pd were recorded, the highlights of which are listed below:

From To Length Pt Pd Pt+Pd
m m m ppm ppm ppm

DDH 4

171.00 172.00 1.00 0.129 0.125 0.254
298.50 299.50 1.00 0.142 0.005 0.147
301.50 302.50 1.00 0.145 0.004 0.149
323.00 324.00 1.00 0.143 0.022 0.165

A geophysical survey suggests that many square kilometres of terrain south of DDH 3 and DDH 4 are underlain by the characteristic rocks regarded as favourable for Pt+Pd. Soil and boulder sampling in this area is well advanced but assays have yet to be returned. Future drilling will target soil sample anomalies
