Ed I am willing to bet $10,000 with you that MSFT won't
hit 300 by end of 1999 and 600 by end of 2000. Want to bet?
I will take 10:1 bet. If it gets to the target you say,
I will give you 10,000. If not you will give me 1000.

I am 100% sure that MSFT won't hit those levels. What history
are you referring to? During last 10 years MSFT has gone up
about 46%. Considering that last year it went 108%. It may
remain flat for the rest of the year, and is likely to go
down first before up.

People, just do some homework: Go see where Microsoft has
been buying back its own shares.

May 98 : Average 85 at 54 trailing PE
Aug 98 : Average 100 at 55 PE
Sep - Dec 98 : My guess is average 110 at about 55 PE
Jan - Marc99 : Where will MSFT buy? I think at av. 122 at 55 PE.

There is some history.
