Gord - we need someone like Pierre Lassonde of Franc-Euro Nevada money fortunes to spearhead the new coin. Pierre was taking a lead role in trying to convince the Central Bankers not to dump any more gold, it might be more fruitful to start minting and marketing millennium and Euro gold coins.

Gord,
what I suggested was that the miners mint the Y2k coins at "mine grade".
Get an assayer to "lot certify" that lot # XXX "was at least XX% pure, and price accordingly. HM is considering about it(from the E'mail I got when I ordered the wifes X*mas gifts through their web site). They would take orders through their existing Web site & ship through existing gift shops.
