Skeets;<<btw, when you replace bigger earnings with smaller earnings then the ratios explode. that is a fact. not an "i think." are you saying amat's earns more this q that last year's q? your point should have been, "nobody cares, ho ho ho ho!!!" now, not even i can argue with that ;-)>> Skeets, your equation is missing a component. What happens when you become more efficient and reduce expenses some 40M per quarter? Do I think their gross earnings this quarter will be more than the same quarter from last year? No. Do I think that matters? No. Jeff
