"The other thing we don't agree on is that when you identify a societal problem you love to go on a male bashing tirade... ie, "Challenged by whom...male interlopers seeking to establish dominance? Are we back to Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom??...yes" It's good to know what is considered "male-bashing"...I do truely believe that we have nuclear weapons because of the male quest for dominance. I think I go beyond attributing "societal problems" to the Y-chromasome...I think it's a "species problem"...all male animals demonstrate similar behavior...violence is the common thread. It really cannot be argued. "As far as I can see, in the animal kingdom there are not examples of kindness, consideration, charity, and compassion." Everything you mention above are requirements of all successful female animals...including humans. Why? Because we are genetically predisposed to nurture other beings... The female conceives life, then gestates...talk about charity! The Mother-Offspring bond demonstrates the intense compassion...there really are no words to describe it...that Women are capable of. A male cannot experience this degree of nurturance. This is one reason I get angry. Who suffers most in war?...The elders, the children, and the Women. The men are busy making war and destruction, playing their competative blood-games. It's brain chemistry...it's nature, and it no longer works very well. We are near the "end game"."Now what we don't agree on is "the issue." The issue for you is "its just about bc's private sex life."... The issue for me is "I no longer trust bc." I trust Bill Clinton more than I ever did. I feel He is protecting a certain quality of life...privacy. The strategy of Clinton's opponents was to attempt to put Him in a lose-lose position...not really "a clean bust". The worst part is that He's being "judged" by a jury of people who have no ability to be "impartial"...and some of them have been/are "adulterous" in their own right. "I believe that my support of my political representatives is underwritten by trust. When that is breached their authority to represent me is no longer in tact." I do not generally expect to "trust" politicians...politics is not religion, and political leaders are usually driven, passionate, people. With that degree of passion and drive for power, you're gonna get some base human behavior...one must be extremely "sociable". That's what makes people see politicians as dishonest types...you can't please all the people, all the time...I think Bill Clinton is as genuine and as Human as the other Presidents...they just weren't the target of a political assassination attempt.
