lg semi is also merging with another korean dram mfr(maybe hitachi?). they are hurting and bleeding badly. rdram is going to save the whole industry including intel. they need the new products and just in time for y2k upgrades. btw computer sales in japan at a record pace again last month. are we recession proof? i'm beginning to think so.

Hi Mile,

I recall reading about 6 weeks ago that Hyundai were merging their semicon (or maybe just DRAM) activities with LG. I believe that this move was insisted on by the Korean government
