I'm pretty skeptical about the whole story. I would be convinced it's true only when the liar comes out and categorically denies ever having had sex with the woman. Then I'd believe it.Experts Debunk Bill's 'Paternity Test' All you Clinton-bashers who are convinced that the President fathered a love child with an Arkansas hooker may want to take a chill pill. Star magazine may have paid 13-year-old Danny Williams and his mother, Bobbie Ann Williams, to undergo DNA tests. But any claims that the kid's DNA matches Clinton's will be highly suspect, experts tell us. The tabloid's editors, who at last word were still awaiting the results, won't say exactly how they will compare the Williams' DNA with Clinton's. But conservative gadflies are proclaiming that the tab simply has to check Clinton's genetic-typing results, made public in the Starr report. Bill Clinton Trouble is, Starr lists only the results of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) that the FBI used to determine whether Clinton's DNA matched that stain on Monica Lewinsky's dress. Several DNA experts we consulted said the PCR test would not be enough to prove paternity. "You can use the PCR test to exclude President Clinton, or to say he could be," says Dr. Henry Lee, who consulted on the O.J. Simpson, Vincent Foster and JonBenet Ramsey cases. But to prove that Clinton is Williams' father, Lee says, raw data from the FBI lab's refraction fragmented length polymorphism (RFLP) test would be required. "You would need to put President Clinton's [DNA] side by side, using RFLP," said Lee. Detailed RFLP data were not included in the Starr report. Unless the supermarket tab is able to obtain that information, the whole thing could be, as Star magazine editor Phil Bunton told The News Tuesday, "a total hoax." And Clinton would be in a good position to scoff at any "positive" results. Meanwhile, TV's "Hard Copy" is deciding what to do with a video-taped interview with Bobbie Ann Williams in which the teary former prostitute asserts Clinton is Danny's father. A spokesman for "Hard Copy" would not say when the interview was done or whether Williams was paid. The spokesman also wouldn't say whether the show planned to air the tape, adding, "We're still investigating the story."
