Shirley - it does seem to be happening, and there seems to be the will at the political level - but it will take getting used to - there was an article by John Bentlay Mays in the National Post recently about it - it gave a good impression of what it is like shopping in the UK and France - although it hasn't happened in the former yet. E

Shirley, I hope the Euro falls flat on its face. It's just the first step to the McDonaldization of European countries into one bland lump. Changing currencies at the borders of the European countries is small price for maintaining their diversity. Just my view. :)
