Uncle Frank and Tony,

The highest P/E is a question of "what you knew and when did you know it." Most charting services neglect this important point.

In early January,1997, Intel recorded it's highest P/E based on known trailing earnings. This P/E was approximately 32. After earnings were announced the trailing P/E instantly fell to about 26.
