DJN: CORRECTION: IXC Commun, Not DCI Telecom, To Take 4Q Charge

IXC Communications Inc. (IIXC) will take a $14 million pretax charge in the
fourth quarter after effecting a transaction canceling $18 million in
payments owed it by a defaulting customer. As reported Dec. 7, DCI
Telecommunications (DCTC) agreed to assume the payments.
(A story that ran at 2:28 p.m. EST Jan. 6 incorrectly reported DCI
Telecommunications would take the charge.)
