Mike,
I agree with everything you've said. So, that means we should run up some more until the mania ends. When the mania ends, there will be a correction. How long will the correction last? Who knows. However, if I steadily put money into the market, 25 years from now, I think I'd be very happy with my return.

Let's assume that I put $1000/month or a week into the market. Let's assume that I've done that in the Japan's stock market for the last 15 years. Anyone got any clue what the value of that money would be today? That would mean that I've invested in from below 10,000 on the Nikkei up to almost 40,000 and back down to current levels. How much would I have? I really am curious now that I've asked the question. Anyone have any way to figure out this value? My gut feeling is that I would have made money, but I don't know.

At any rate, will our correction be that severe? I seriously doubt it. I believe we hold the world's economic and financial future in our hands. No one else can be the leader. Maybe by the year 2500, we'll have a new leader in the world, but for now and for the foreseeable future, we be the boss. We wouldn't and couldn't be as non-proactive as the Japanese governments have been. They've got a totally different way of viewing the world, but that's a whole different discussion.
