Sig and All,

I bought a XPS R450 on Dec 7, 1998 and just called DELL to get my 30 day rebate and my system and the price drop was ONLY $26.00 bucks!!

I guess prices are not dropping much.

Dave

I keep thinking that Fedx or ups can profit mightily but will they reward the shareholders??? We know that MD will.
Good luck >>

Hi Sig and everyone else! Yes, I am still alive --- more on that subject later.

Just wanted to drop in here and give you some MORE (maybe better) info on UPS ----- UPS does reward their shareholders! Quite nicely, too, I might add; however, the "general" investing community does NOT profit at all since UPS is a wholly owned private (plus employee owned) company.

So, why did the city of Louisville, Commonwealth of Kentucky, and our Federal Government spend our tax dollars expanding the Louisville airport? For none other than UPS........YES, Louisville's airport (SDF) is now an international airport, but the only international flights arriving and departing are all on UPS. Hmmmm. Just wanted to past along the UPS info to you, Sig.

And now, for an update. I just ordered my first, DELL notebook, and the delivery is set for a week. This machine will equip me with capabilities that include accessing SI even when I am out of town. As some of you know, my work often takes me on the road and I've resisted carrying a machine. Oh, well, here goes.

More news ---- I might actually get the 1998 DELLhead web site up next week. Duh!

David (aka daw; also sometimes referred to as Rhett)

ps --- I am again disturbed by the sound of a jet taking off to the North.
