Besides the $2,000,000 Genentech said this about XOMA. While many won't get it or care, I think it is important. XOMA is a can do company, according to Genentech. "XOMA has been successful in developing all aspects of this product. They have developed a scaleable manufacturing process and have completed this Phase II clinical study on time and within budget," said Bill Young, Genentech's chief operating officer. "The milestone payment is a concrete acknowledgment of these accomplishments."
