In this sector, it's probably a reasonable contrarian strategy.

I suspect that just looking at a long term chart while using historic ranges for P/Sales, P/Book, and P/Cash Flow might be a better method of trying to pick the bottom. Hand in hand with that approach is a stringent requirement to completely and absolutely ignore all the noise from the so called gurus - whether they're associated with institutions or just posting opinions on the net. ;-)

David, in this sector you buy when SEMI orders hit a low.
Here you can see price vs orders for AMAT and KLIC

where Orders peak.
