Dennis, You are right. I remember an acquaintance who kept repeatedly telling me about her neighbor's miniature chiwauwa that was tied outside next to her door. It's incessant yapping was driving her crazy. One day when I was tired of hearing her complain about the problem, I said "why don't you just go outside and step on it!" It would have been inhumane, of course. We should all just realize that we have to put up with some unwanted noise once in a while.
