Wasn't Intel selling for $70 when you started posting your "Selective" box scores - on AMD UP DAYS ONLY ?

Seems that Intel is UP $58 since then.

Re: "AMD 27 3/4 27 13/16 27 7/8 +5/8 28 5/16 26 7/8 3,279,700 "

Wasn't AMD at $27 3/4 a year ago - and a year before that - and a year before that - and a year before that ?

Scumbria - RE: "If someone had told you 12 months ago that AMD based computers would would make up the lion's share of retail PC sales by Christmas, you would have laughed them off."

You have to realize Paul doesn't notice the obvious.

In reality, Bill Jackson said <It means nothing to the average
smart person if an AMD or Intel CPU is in there at the same speed. Who cares that the AMD is 5% faster,?, a few hackers maybe, but the bulk do not care>

To which Paul responded <Last year AMD and Intel had a real life contest.

It was determined that the average smart person preferred an Intel CPU to an AMD CPU 80,000,000 to 2,850,000, or 28 to 1.>

techstocks.com

It would appear that the average smart person no longer prefers an Intel CPU 28 to 1.
