Chris, I'm looking for TLAB to pop again after earnings.

Does anyone know the exact date of the earnings release?
I keep reading the 15th ... but, someone also mentioned TLAB
will postpone it until the end of the month because of their
new accounting method.

God, just got a phone call from my Dad and he said one of stocks
went up +50 today.

Finally the poop about the "delayed flight" (excerpt from ticker news Jan 5):

"Tellabs Chief Executive Michael Birck's Phoenix presentation was delayed as his incoming flight circled the airport. Spokesman Thomas Scottino said the company ''hasn't talked to anyone today'' and that the presentation Birck will give later ''is the same one we've been giving since October.''

At that time, the company told analysts it expected to meet earnings estimates of about 59 cents a share.

Also today, Tellabs shares were reiterated ''strong buy'' by Prudential Securities analyst John Butler, who said he expects the stock to rise to 82 in 12 months."

....and this one, also off ticker news Jan 5:

''More buyers than sellers, I guess. I have no idea,'' Birck said. He said he learned of the stock's surge while his plane was on final approach to Phoenix. His secretary told him ''nobody here seems to know'' the reason for the surge."

ROFL!!!....not exactly a missed flight!
