bp,

Why are you so worried about the Republicans in 2000?

Just my way of showing kindness and compassion for my fellow man bp. Sure, republicans are loathsome rabid beings but nonetheless they are gods creatures and therefore...... I care.

You should be happy they're gonna lose big, that way the Dems take control, get well entrenched and won't be out until you're old enough to finally get some of that tax money back on that income you've been trying so hard to shelter with underwear deductions.......There, that make sense?

Uh yeah that makes sense. But, I need help with the numbers since I left arithmetic behind after all the statistics I took at Cal. OK, a $2. deduction for each pair of underwear. Also $2 for socks, but then, I dont wear those every day. What about pantyhose - do I get $2 for those? Probably - Im sweating about this though - what if the IRS gets me? Well, live dangerously I always say. So lets say, at most $6. deduction a day. 365 days/year and thats - 365 * 6 = $2190 deduction! Pretty good - quite a shelter Id say! Oh but wait, what if I dont wear underwear one day.... rats.... whittles my deduction down to say, $2100. And then, I dont really like socks with my Birkenstocks. There goes another $600. Now Im down to $1500 deduction - HEY WAIT - thats less than the standard deduction!

And I spent all this time figuring this out, the stress, the anxiety.

I better call up social services and see if theres a welfare program for us "underwear deduction anxiety" sufferers.
