I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel.
LindyBill, I am not convinced that there is light at the end of the tunnel but there is a possibility. A week or two ago, I didn't think there was even a chance of any light. I just dismissed that upgrade by CIBC Oppenheimer analyst but I think he may be looking well into the future. In any case, I don't trust internet stocks as I see a better opportunity with MSFT (as my internet stock).

<OT> Amazon,
Lindybill, fwiw, the hedge fund managers are valuing amazon as the next super retailer, a sort of web version of walmart. I dont know when this revelation came about that Amzn was moving beyond books but it was about 6 mos ago (corresponding with the huge rise in the stock). They hired a bunch of former walmart executives, and are gearing up internally to offer all kinds of goods.

I dont know what kind of valuation walmart or home depot had in the early days, something stratospheric I believe.
