Alomex, at the investors'meeting it was stated that Apple's wholesale price is 88% of MAP on all units. And Eric has been saying that Apple is getting over $1100 per iMac for a long time. Don't you remember his posts on the subject around the time of the Best Buy contretemps? His point was that Best Buy was selling for a real loss at $999.

What's your revenue estimate if 450,000 iMacs are at $1140+? with the rest at $999 or so?

Look at it another way--if iMac margins are over 20% (it was stated at the meeting that the cost of the 233 and 266 chips are now less than $50 apiece, btw) and Apple's cost per iMac is $830 or $850 (as per Eric Yang last month, from his inside sources), then the price has to be way more than your $1000 price.

Regards,
Marc
