I can't see my local grocer becoming a delivery service from a warehouse
distribution site.

In a reasonable size metro area why can't the grocer who has a warehouse anyway also deliver goods from it direct to consumers as well as its supermarket sites. That's what is happening here in Australia. True Coles who are the biggest retailer so far getting into this (one fo the two big food retailers here who have about 3/4 of the supermarket market between them) have licenced PPOD's software.

lucky--

well, id ont know who you use. i can see any of the chains here in austin doing it easily if they sensed the demand. thats the key though...they dont see it yet. however, they will eventually. will PPOD be big enough to fight them off by then? i hope so. i doubt i will be around for the battle.

good luck to all,
trey
