Dennis,

They did shake out some traders. As I mentioned, I sold some shares, left some long AND sold some Jan 85 puts, too.

However, there's no denying that big sellers on the offering all day yesterday. 10K and 20K blocks were not uncommon, and if you look at the days print of time and sales, there's some 50K and up large blocks on it.

But EMC's not going to stay down very long, it seems. The Soundview recco and target change up to 125 didn't hurt. People feed of this kind of news.

Anyway, I still think 90 is the magic shootout ground for options expiration. However, if it pops over 95 tommorrow, and stays there over the weekend, 95 would become the new shootout level.

Just be "IN" before earnings. Once my option positions unwind next Friday, I will become long again...

You're still sticking to your conspiracy theory?

Oliver Stone should investigate and make a movie about it. How about :

"EMC- The volume speaks for itself"
"EMC- Who did it and why?"
"EMC- Grassy knolls in Hopkington, Mass."
"EMC- down 1, up 4, who can we Trust????"

You're always saying that EMC's a great long for the future, just buy it and forget it: "I don't care toooo much because I am just holding."

But just as often I see that you're all cash, or stuff like this: My sell orders are in on AMZN YHOO CSCO and MSFT and I will sell EMC when I see where it opens.

If it's such a good company for the long term as you repeatedly say, then why worry about the day-to-day gyrations of the market and the stock?

It is not strange if one thinks in terms of options clearing activities. Strikes 95 and 90 are being cleared.
