I don't think you can adequately value your investment with these figures. I believe that Sears has a significant amount of assets to back up that market cap as well as the revenues - overheads of the employees. The money at risk with eBay, is that there is little revenue to back up the market cap.

What is the ratio of net income per employee at Sears vs. Ebay?
