One should keep in mind that by and large politicians are/were lawyers. By their temperment they are prone to take the credit for the work of others. The typical lawyer/politican is the gal/guy who is always back-slapping and glad-handing people, getting to know folks to learn about ideas and concepts s/he would never come up with on their own, much less produce it. They produce nothing besides words. This phenomenon is prevalent in the stockmarket today. You see that blowhard over there, smugly congratulating himself for buying Cisco Systems and Lucent Communications....he thought routers were for woodworking.
