One should keep in mind that by and large politicians are/were lawyers. By their temperment they are prone to take the credit for the work of others. The typical lawyer/politican is the gal/guy who is always back-slapping and glad-handing people, getting to know folks to learn about ideas and concepts s/he would never come up with on their own, much less produce it. They produce nothing besides words. This phenomenon is prevalent in the stockmarket today.
