DUh, you think I don't understand the difference? You may have missed the point made about layering on services old boy. As you and your infinite wisdow are well aware, digital/analog hybrid boxes will nearly equal the initial channel selection of the new Explorer 2000. What makes the Explorer unique is that it is fully digital (important as HDTV comes on line) and fully interactive. I guess you think there going to deploy 100,000 boxes that do exactly what the Nextlevel (GI) DT-2000 is already doing. The answer is right there in the press release, they will layer on services starting with VOD!!!!!!!!!!!! If they don't, all they will have done is replaced the advanced analog/digital hybrid box with a fully digital box without a signficant change in channel selection. That is not their objective. The objective is to offer new services (change the way people watch television was the quote I believe was used)that are interactive in nature and that will generate new revenue to justify the deployment.

You are clueless as always. FACTS speak louder than bozos.
