Give me a break. Other services aren't that far away either like internet access? Have you ever heard of a company called @Home? How about a Time Warner subsidiary called Roadrunner? Internet access is already here as is being enjoyed by thousands as I post this. As for IP telephony, there are issues with that on a time line basis and an FCC basis. No need to get into that here, although IP telephony is at the stage VOD was at early in 1998.

TM, where we seem to differ is that you believe the spin given by a reporter who takes a couple quotes from cable executives. A story that is so obviously derived exclusively from the SEAC and DIVA PR people. Maybe Intertainer just doesn't get it either?

Jim Chiddix was speaking on a panel the night prior to the Kagan conference and he said that VOD is not a real hard appliction to deliver. The issue surrounds the installation of head end equipment, integration of back office functionality and testing. Not testing like in the past, but the type of testing that goes on in corporate America before any large enterprise system or new software program goes into full production (deployment). The people who use the system or program are called beta testers (this stuff is computer science or software engineering 101). They use the system (in fact they are encouraged to beat on the system and tax its limits) in order to find the flaws so the engineers can fix them. Are you with me so far old boy?

Once that is completed (4,6,10, even 14 weeks), the system will be scaled up to add more users. As the scaling issues are solved and the system is working smoothly, the system goes enterprise wide. Each new site will move faster as the issues will likely be the same as in the first site, which for Time Warner is primarily Austin, but as mentioned in the press release, they will likely launch 3 or 4 more markets shortly thereafter. Tm, you must like to have things repeated to you serveral times before they sink in. Please go up to the chalkboard and write 100 times the following: VOD will be deployed in early 1999 and CCUR is a player. When your done, go play with your VOD system and tell us how reliable that NT server is again. Fault tolerance means a lot when you have a system crash due to software issues. Tommorow should be a fun day, SFA was up over $3 points on the P coast.

"I won't bother." Can we count on this? What's the matter, aren't
you making any money on your SEAC stock? All those press releases
and no stock movement.

SEAC was DOWN 14% for 1998.

CCUR was UP 49.3% for 1998.

Who's the dummy?

Best regards. By the way, do they pay you for posting 3 week old
press releases?
