CPQ got a mention in The Motley Fool tonite ........................ If enterprise resource planning software companies like SAP (NYSE:SAP - news) , PeopleSoft
(Nasdaq:PSFT - news) , JDA Software Group (Nasdaq:JDAS - news) , and JD Edwards & Co.
(Nasdaq:JDEC - news) get corporations to thin out the asset bases of businesses, then the competitive
front is pricing. Any company that can't compete on the former is going to have a heck of a time
competing on the latter. Ever wonder why pricing announcements have always been a non-event to a
positive event for Dell Computer (Nasdaq:DELL - news) ? It's because its model is built for price
competition while Compaq (NYSE:CPQ - news) historically hasn't been so well equipped.
