Goldman Sachs certainly did not do their homework. They will be understanding their mistake in the coming weeks, and then realizing that they should have done their due diligence, along with why pick an ECN that is rapidly losing market share. Why go with the number 5 ECN, and not one of the top 4. They were in a hurry to get on the ECN bandwagon, and they do not have a clue the mess that they have got themselves into. I am guessing that Wolfgang Flottl, from Ross Capital, who pulls a lot of weight at Goldman, helped Putnam out. Remember we are only talking about 15 million for Goldman to get in this mess.

You keep forgetting, is that I put the whole deal together. The only reason that Putnam met Townsend was because of my invention SCANSHIFT. Putnam and Townsend were my partners in SCANSHIFT. They decided to play the greed game as I have described in my earlier posts, and over time I am confident they will go down in flames. As far as Goldman Sachs, they will end up with another ECN, maybe the Strike ECN that has Bear Stearns and Salomon Smith Barney, or another. If the man who is Chairman Emeritus of E*Trade, Bill Porter, can program an electronic options exchange

he can certainly program his own ECN. I do not think he will be too happy when he analyzes the leadership decision made by the man he handed the day to day reigns at E*Trade to.
