The company was built on stolen code. The fact that the code is now clean, and that they have bought several clean companies, doesn't change the fact that the original basis of the company was obtained by theft.,

You should check out the latest edition of WindowNT magazine.

In it you will learn that NT was stolen from Digital (or more properly, Many Digital Engineers came over to the Evil Empire with the Digital VMS O/S...)

Yes, it seems that the original version of NT (before Win32.exe and windows GUI), was HEAVILY BASED upon VMS.

Digital was getting ready to sue, but apparently as a compromise, MSFT offered to produce NT in a version that would support DEC's Alpha platform.

So MSFT "DOES" steal technology. And then it bargains its way out of being sued.

I agree that CDN will win and end up owning AVNT past and future revenue and earning stream..They are criminals

seems like [avnt] is cracking a little.....does anyone else know if i am right when i say that next week avnt goes to trial jan 11[criminal charges] an then jan 15[meet with judge on civil charges]...thanks...redwood
