I think you have it right there. IMO: AMZN, YHOO, EBAY, UBID and a couple of others at this point are just trading vehicles, pieces of paper that are traded back and forth at higher and higher prices. There are viable businesses in them, but no rational forecast can justify the prices being paid. Now, though, while they are in the up-rocket phase, is not the time to short these babies.

If you need to short something to offset your AOL long, pick something third tier(KTel, BAMM, Sharper Image maybe) or wait til the down-rocket phase has definitely and firmly gotten underway. Amazon will not get back to $50 overnight.

Just my opinion.
