*I have heard tale of better quality CPUs in the boxes but I do not think the claims hold up. The quality distribution is most likely random.* Agreed. BTW: Problem with warranties is often the associated downtime. Most professional users can't tolerate a few days to a few weeks downtime to collect on the warranty. I often buy replacement parts BUT ALWAYS collect on the warranty for a backup part or to sell it to some else. There are also some creative unethical techniques that some use which I won't mention to avoid this. Sean
