Hi Gordon, a few comments concerning your recent post. I'm gratified to see that someone is trying to project the future based on analysis of subtle signs or "gives" from the company. For example, your description of the recent S3 and website in qualitative terms is probably more relevant than the information, or lack of same being conveyed. Here is my take of the situation. Valence will be updating the website when they are ready to "unload" the specifications of their current product. Valence's customers are apprised of this. Lack of a CFO is a concern and probably will be corrected shortly. In the meantime, Lev has his hands full which means some routine tasks such as SEC filings have been delegated with mixed results. Lev's recent kaffeeklatsch with Dennis is indicative of a slightly eccentric style, but probably was also intended to give a little unofficial feedback, reflecting his optimism. The lack of public info from the company reflects a completely different management style from say, a company like ULBI. Evidently, VLNC is convinced that the product will sell without the benefit of "super salesmanship" and without revisiting the pitfalls of making promises or raising expectations prematurely as have other companies. The waiting and wondering bother me sometimes, but I can't imagine, over a time frame of the next year or so, where any serious competition is going to come from. There are scary giants out there, and it's possible that one of them is about to drop an H-bomb, but I don't think so. They have a lot invested in current technology and I don't believe that they have the "fire" in the gut that Valence's people have. Living on the edge can be a great motivator.
