Yes, that too. It is also important to look at what at what price these funds will be procured at, and it will probably be significantly higher than what they are used to. Korean chip makers always procured guaranteed funds at lower than market rates from Korean banks. No wonder they thought they could expand forever with not having to worry about ever making money. Unfortunately now, things have changed for them. It should have never happened in the first place. It is what you expect when market forces are warped by government intervention. Chip makers have to ultimately be held accountable. The environment is changing slowly, but for MU, Toshiba, NEC and the other the ones that have survived this onslaught, I tip my hat.
