Don, don't let anyone make you feel bad about buying and holding this stock That wasn't my intention, I wish the whole market had Don's patience and stability. I used to buy and hold, but after getting ripped up by severe corrections I started position trading. Buying and holding has it's advantages as Don pointed out, the taxes being the primary. But the disadvantages are pretty staggering and out weigh the tax burden IMO. There's no guarantee that the stock will return to previous highs and the opportunity cost can carry on for years as Zeev pointed out with the IOM example. My apologies to Don and the thread, I didn't mean to rock the boat.
