OT David, tell me about Canberra please. It's the capital of Australia. But like Washington it isn't the biggest city. In fact it's a tenth the size of Washington even. We're about 2000ft above sea level surrounded by mountains with National parks about 200 miles SW of Sydney and about 80 from the coast. The climate is temperate - freezing nights (but never days) in Winter but almost never snows, summer is warm and dry and only a few really hot days (like the last few).
