I think boxed 300a success rates < 2.2 volts are now better than this. Anecdotally, the couple I've tried and Dan's (?) tried have all worked at or below 2.0 volts.

I agree 100% on the undesirability of having to raise the voltage. I don't think I'd go above 2.1-I'd forgo the OCing first (or just get a new CPU at these prices.)

Interestingly, credible people are reporting that they can drop voltages, sometimes significantly, after a "burn-in" period. I'm now at 1.95 volts, and when I get an identical backup machine up and running next week, I'll experiement with dropping the voltage further.

These 300a's really are astonishingly well manufactured little chips, and a screaming buy.
