Wood works with Bank letters of credit which are backed up by sold wood. When the wood has been paid for by the retail company, Madera pays off the letter of credit. The $47,000 or what ever they have is working money for small day to day operation. r

WOOD IS WORTH A DIME Wow, Dave...a whole thin dime. Then in effect, you totally discount the auditors, Harlan & Boettger. Their _professional_ opinion that Madera's stock is worth a book value of 52¢ is utterly discounted by you, and you select your own, apparently arbitrary, value of a dime for no reason that I can discern. Too, you operate on the premise that Madera has collected NOTHING of the $3 million USD it had on accounts receivable as of 3/31/98. I find that premise ludicrous to an extreme. There can be no middle ground here, David...and your calling my reasonably arrived-at (IMHO) estimates "hype" is not taken kindly. I call your UNreasonably arrived-at estimates to be bashing, and your motives, I cannot discern--but I do not believe they are honest. Good night, sir. I feel certain we will cross words again. Rick

SHEEEEEESH--BUY OR DON'T BUY, DAVE! Your negativism is dull and unfounded. I will now take to skipping your posts as soon as I see your name. Not that I don't appreciate all points of view; just that I don't appreciate people wasting my time. Your shorts are showing and they're full of spam. ;) We've got a great company here in WOOD and a killer web site coming that will be unique and extremely popular. Think I'll be too busy ordering online to even check these threads anymore!
