I don't see how splitting the shares increases potential for short covering. Also, there is no way to tell how much short covering has been going on these last few days until reports are filed later in the month. AMZN is at it 12 month low in days to cover as of 12/98 -- the last period for which there is data. If shorts have been covering, we may be running out of fuel for the fire sooner rather than later.

Assume that investor Y finally realizes that a split does not really increase the value of a company ;-)

I tried a new cycle. I took the lid of 4k long shares yesterday just before the close @ 155. I got the gap up this morning and just put the lid back on @ 185. If you can't beat the MM's. Join them.
I'm starting to like this piece of shit also. I'm just another one of the flies.
