While not being knowledgeable about Fonix, and not really knowing much more about Dragon, I can still say the hype machine of Wall Street will not allow Dragon to open up anywhere near FONX's present price. On the other hand, FONX could even be a "sympathy play". (I bought ONSL when EBAY came out-took a while for the sympathy to get played out, but I eventually did ok.) Of course sometimes staying in the leader is even better (as I would have even done better staying in EBAY.) What is your opinion of FONX? It looks like they are a R&D company which could go on to bigger and better things (like profits) or perhaps stay stranded in R&D land.

Dragon is a well-run company with a real product. FONX is a company which was only able to bring a product to market under its name by buying other nearly insolvent companies, one of which gave it the connection with Dragon. There is no comparison. Dragon competes with LHSPF and IBM at the top level of this sector; FONX is one of many tiny niche companies with more hype (and more promise, once upon a time) than most others at its level.
