Nukit, Tim is right to point you to that post. You can get in big trouble very fast.

I traded with 28kbs connection. It can be done. You will have to be mindful of how many charts and quotes you try to run. You will most likely NOT be able to trade some of the insane volume stocks.

If you trade stocks with plenty of volume, but not way too much, you can do fine. I use to run two pooters, each on its own 28kbs connection. One for Real tick III, the other for IRC and a web browser. I have also used a shotgun modem that lets one pooter use two phone lines. that works ok too.

I cannot get cable here, so I went with ISDN. I can prolly go to HDSL here if, I want, this summer. I would recommend ISDN after you have traded for a while and know you got a chance of making it.

GO SLOW! bet SMALL!

We are all only as good as our next trade!

best wishes,

funk
