< Another thing to consider and I know this from ancient personal experience... the venture capital firm backing Cohesive is one of the most reputable, respected and largest and Cisco Systems is a large well-respected company. > Martin, Welsh Carson Anderson & Stowe are very well known and on a global scale. I also thought the footnote was a great read as who is involved also i thought i'd post the complete note....[...Cisco Systems is a minority owner and strategic partner of the firm. Other strategic partners include Dell, Lucent, Microsoft, and Netscape.] ................. My opinion regarding the website is that there is no excuse for not keeping this site up to date and current at all times; as far as i am concerned if it is live and operational website which is representing a business to the public, it should be kept updated at all times. In this business if i don't keep your sites current, buyers go to a competitor in a single, simple and instant click of a mouse button. The ease and speed of buying on the net demands that you are always current - always! As many of the potential customers who hit or maybe are re-visiting the site to buy a product, they will not hang around very long when they have the competitors bookmarks ready to take away because they come across a missing link or cannot find what they are searching for. On a positive note is that i went to the CompactConnection site to see if their Real Audio service was working and to my delight i found that on a number of searches there audio links where current and in full working order for the titles i want to to listen too. Nothing upsets me more than wanting to hear a audio track and find that the link is broken or out-of-date or missing. As a consumer i would rank this site on just how up to date and current it was just like i would with CdNow and the range of products i was searching for which were of interest to me...i mean some people don't just want the same old Top 40 titles, diversity of musical genres is important to attract and satisfy the lesser mainstream buyers. It's good to see CompactConnection have such a range. ................... I also sent an email to TSIG regarding another important aspect of the site which is not just lacking, but not there at all. I hope i get a reply so i know it has a least be read by someone who will follow it up. IMO it's a major issue which must be fixed and maintained into the future. Cheers Jay PS: I timed the loading times of the homepage for both CompactConnection and CdNow site. CompactConnection won the complete homepage download by about 5 seconds; although Cdnow have there site loading in such a way as it brings up the search option within about 5 seconds on hiting the site itself - before the majority of the data from the rest of the page is loaded which is some 12 - 17 seconds later. CompactConnection's search option didn't load until the very last moment of the overall homepage. To me this is important as most times i personally want to find the title, order it and be on my way as quickly as possible. JMO !
