All, Another silver use you may not know of. I forgot(until my wife mentioned it) that many southerners (even after moving) practice a tradition that may not be common to all the world. Every New Years Day we cook black eyed peas with a silver dime in the pot, to "assure wealth all year". Though if it uses up silver, it uses it at a very slow rate. My grandmother even did this if she thought she was "having a run of bad luck" anytime during the year. Give it a try.
