<<So you think tech support is the true meaning of that news release?>>

I might have been a bit harsh when I said that this could mean that PLPT would let their 20 support people go. I think Paisley's comments were probably more in line. Then again, the press release did state:

"According to the agreement, IBM will provide installation, first-line help desk support and problem tracking, on-site technical support, and parts inventory logistics for PulsePoint Communications customers around the world."

This is EXACTLY what PLPT's tech support organization has done for the last 10-15 years. So who knows what they are up to. I do think PLPT using IBM in the near term is a bit optimistic (will be a disaster as the IBM staff would have SO MUCH to learn). Maybe in a year or so.

I have been told that there are only about 5 people in the whole company that know how to setup a new machine. It is not as easy as you would think. Maybe PLPT staff will train a dozen or so IBM'ers on how to do everything...

Just rambling here. I will try to find out more.
