All, There have been a few messages posted on the yahoo
thread recently regarding problems with Nokia 6160 cell phones.
I expect that there may be nothing out of the ordinary here,

Nokia and Unwired Planet announce interoperability testing of WAP based products

Agreement Signed to Achieve Interoperability Between Nokia and Unwired Planet Wireless Application Protocol Based Products

As co-founders of the WAP Forum (www.wapforum.org), both Nokia and Unwired PlanetTM are committed to WAP interoperability. This effort is an important step towards implementing the WAP interoperability and conformance requirements as they are formalized. Testing is already underway in a program designed to make both companies' WAP product releases compatible. "UP is committed to making the UP. Link Platform compatible with the Nokia WAP microbrowser," said Alain Rossmann, chairman and chief executive officer for Unwired Planet. "Nokia is the leading wireless manufacturer and dynamic innovator in this industry. Achieving compatibility between Nokia's handsets and UP's servers will enable carriers to rapidly roll out world-class information services."

The Wireless Application Protocol is a de-facto standard for Internet content and advanced telephony services in digital mobile phones and other wireless terminals. WAP Forum membership is open to all industry participants. A membership application form and the Version 1.0 specification are available for download at the WAP Forum
