Morning Ike,..Re:.Healthy Jobs Report

We got a strong jobs report again which might put the quash on any further rate cuts come Feb. <g>

stats.bls.gov

Employment rose in December and the unemployment rate, at 4.3 percent, was little changed, the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor reported today. Nonfarm payroll employment rose by 378,000. Growth was spread throughout the service-producing sector, and unusually mild weather across much of the country contributed to strength in construction.

Manufacturing still weak but everything else doing nicely. TYX initially jumped up to 5.247% but came right back to the opening value of 5.220% which means the bond market isn't paying much attention to the strength.

Larry Kudlow on CNBC now saying that the Phillips Curve is dead in today's economy. <g>
