NetRadio Network Announces Two Additions to Its Board of Directors

MINNEAPOLIS--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Jan. 7, 1998--NetRadio Network today announced the appointments of Jim Caparro, Chairman and CEO of Def Jam - Mercury/Island Records Group and Marc Kalman, currently of Chancellor Media, to the NetRadio Network Board of Directors. NetRadio is a majority owned subsidiary of Navarre Corporation (NASDAQ:"NAVR").

Jim Caparro has over 25 years management experience in music product distribution sales, marketing, administration and operations. Caparro previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer and Executive Vice President of PolyGram Distribution (PGD), and Senior Vice President of National Sales and Branch Distribution for PolyGram Records. During his tenure with PGD, Caparro was responsible for the Independent Label Sales division, PolyGram Video, PolyGram Merchandising, PolyMedia and PolyGram New Technologies. Under Caparro's leadership, PGD became one of the largest and most respected music distribution companies in the United States. From 1994 through 1998 PGD was the recipient of the National Association of Recording Merchandisers Distributor of the Year award.

During his tenure, KDWB FM has received two Marconi awards for Contemporary Hit Radio station of the year, the Crystal award for community service, as well as eight radio best awards being one of the top contemporary hit radio stations in America. Kalman has worked in the radio business since 1968.
