funk, Unfortunately its true there are a lot of borderline brokers setting up shop. Firms like MB will likely come out stronger as the shakeout develops. They can't stop the practice so all they can do is make a few examples and pass disclosure and handling rules. The other consequence is they're making it VERY easy for traders that lose money to sue their brokers. If that takes off, so will the brokers overhead costs. That would be bad news for traders. Like any start-up industry, it attracts a lot of failures and con men. Alan
