<<For all the JD doomsayers from a few months ago who kept using SFA as a JD failure, what are you saying
now that it'll be over $27 at the open today, and probably in the $30's next week? I've got an average buy in
price of $17, and am loving every minute of it.>>

I'm saying, congrats on your good fortune at having the right stock from someone who bought, per JD's advice
HLT @ 32 (now 23)
SME @ 5 (now 1)
SEW @ 19 (now 4)
CPPKY @ 9 (now 45 cents)
LSI @31 (now 19?)

no, I didn't hold them all for the full loss, yes I had some winners,
yes, I"m responsible too, but the point is that JD never had a sell on these stocks all the way down. He is getting rich off the few years of great picking by his associate, he does not admit appropriate amount of how much he has screwed up on several stocks, and the point is, new readers of this thread and anything about Dessauer need to know that his risk adjusted average over time is probably no better than an index fund, and you can get absolutely crushed doing buy and hold on his stuff and listening to him talk about how things will bounce back.
He is loath to admit screwing up and will advise you to hold his mistakes (and thus yours) till eternity.

Comgratulations on your gain. You might want to read recent
article on General Instruments (GIC).They are working CISCO,
AT&T and TCI to develope high speed internet access from
cable boxes. Its a two horse race between SFA and GIC for
set top boxes, but GIC appears to have teamed with some
powerful players on their side.Anybody have any thoughts
on this?
Good luck
