steve, at long as you buy the stock today, by mon. your broker should have the following reflected in your acct.:

1. fri. closing price divided by two
2. twice the amt. of shares

When is the absolute last second when stock can be bought. Is it 3:59 today, and stock get delivered at 9:29 on Monday?

Monday's opening price will be half today's closing price (plus/minus any opening gap). So you get what you pay for.
