(edited with link...) When we talk about I2O on this thread, we don't mean NGIO. NGIO is a new proposal that came after I2O, and I'm not very familiar with it. WIND gets royalties on Intel's i960RP and i960RD chips, which were designed for I2O. If by chance NGIO uses these chips, WIND will get royalties.

Intel is pushing NGIO, but IBM, Compaq and HP are pushing an alternative called Future I/O...
